• The hypothetical ethical dilemma.
Follow these directions to complete this topic selection assignment.
1. Selection of the environment.
o Select the environment that you will use for the focus of your paper. This should be related to your professional objectives. Possible environments to consider are schools, universities, private and public agencies, businesses, hospitals, prisons, and military environments. Because some of the elements of the course are to analyze both positive and negative areas of ethics and ethical behavior, please provide a pseudonym for your selected environment.
o Describe your selected environment and reasons for choosing the environment. Some facts to include could be size, geographic location, community in which the environment is located, your association or relationship with the environment, and other general information that is relevant and pertinent. You will have an opportunity to analyze your environment later, so your description at this time should be a brief summary.
2. Selection of an ethical dilemma.
o Select an ethical dilemma (that you might encounter in the selected environment) that will be the topic of your paper.
o Provide a brief summary of the main ethical concepts to be addressed and your reasons for choosing this topic. Introduce your selected professional code of ethics that will be used in the paper.
